Easy Peasy Textured Afghan

This afghan has a nice texture to it and it will be yarn dense LOL. In the above picture there are 25 rows and at 150 stitches, it took a whole skein of yarn. I haven’t given thought to a border for this, but I’m sure any one you decide will be fabulous. (And yes, I will update when I finish and add my border)

Materials Used:
Crochet hook “J” – for foundation row
Crochet hook “H” – for afghan
Red Heart Yarn in “Grape Fizz”

Stitches Used: (US Terms)
sc – single crochet
hdc – half-double crochet
ch – chain
st(s) – stitch(es)

**to make adjustments to the width of your afghan, use a multiple of 2 +1**

Pattern: (What I used in my example)
foundation – chain 151
row 1 – sc in 2nd st from hook and in every st to the end (150 sts); ch 1 and turn
row 2 – sc in first st, hdc in next st *alternate sc and hdc across* end with sc in each of the last 2 sts (150 sts); ch 1 and turn
repeat row 1 & 2 until you reach your desired length
